The owner of Anderson Mountain Rentals, Wendy Raines, began coming to Boone from Eastern North Carolina when she was a child with her family on vacation. She later came to attend Appalachian State University. Her parents joined her in Boone, and soon thereafter she and her mother began working in the Real Estate and New Construction area of business. In the early 90’s they added the management of vacation rentals to their company. Having been vacation property renters themselves prior to moving to the Boone area gave the team at Anderson Mountains Rentals an edge. They knew what was important to the renters and what kept the renters coming back year after year and that has not changed.
Each time Wendy is previewing a prospective new cabin she remembers the excitement from years ago when her family would be following directions to a cabin rental. Her staff keeps in mind that families have often saved all year just to come on vacation and they strive to make each stay a memorable one. On many occasions renters are making their return visit plans before they even leave. The repeat renter discount program is in heavy use by the return renters that are proudly welcomed back.
